Clark County is in central Kentucky, just east of Lexington. The county’s part of the Bluegrass region, so horse farms are common.
Agriculture plays a big role here. It’s common to see fields of tobacco, corn, and cattle farms. Beer cheese was invented here so you should try some if you’re visiting.
The area is also home to the Daniel Boone National Forest with plenty of opportunities for hiking and camping. About 36,000 people live here, with Winchester as the county seat. It’s named after George Rogers Clark, a frontier military leader.
