Greenwood County, Kansas
Greenwood County is out in the Flint Hills of southeast Kansas. Eureka is the county seat. It has more trees and hills than a lot of Kansas, which is a nice change.
It’s one of the last big tallgrass prairie areas left in the country. There’s some good fishing and hunting if you’re into that. The Fall River State Park is a popular spot for camping and boating.
Cattle ranching is big here. You’ll see a lot of cowboys during the big rodeo they have every year. The Flint Hills are pretty unique. This county is more about enjoying the quiet and the wide-open spaces.
