Wilson County, Kansas

Wilson County is in southeast Kansas, with Fredonia as the county seat. It has a mix of prairie and woodland, which makes for some pretty scenery.
The county has a bit of everything. It has some farming, some small industry, and even some oil wells. There’s good fishing at Wilson County State Lake if you’re into that.
Neodesha, another town in the county, has this cool little oil museum. In fact, it’s where the first commercial oil well west of the Mississippi was drilled. Wilson County is a relaxed pace of life and plenty of outdoor activities.
