Up in the northeastern corner of Alabama, Jackson County is a landscape that shifts from lush valleys to rugged mountains. It borders Tennessee to the north and Georgia to the east, making it a crossroads of sorts.
Jackson County is home to some of Alabama’s most natural attractions. While the Tennessee River snakes through the county, the Walls of Jericho are often dubbed the “Grand Canyon of the South”.
