Jackson Location Map Alabama

Up in the northeastern corner of Alabama, Jackson County is a landscape that shifts from lush valleys to rugged mountains. It borders Tennessee to the north and Georgia to the east, making it a crossroads of sorts.

Jackson County is home to some of Alabama’s most natural attractions. While the Tennessee River snakes through the county, the Walls of Jericho are often dubbed the “Grand Canyon of the South”.

Scottsboro, the county seat, is famous for the Unclaimed Baggage Center, where travelers’ lost items find a second life. The county’s population is around 52,000 people.
