Jackson County, Kentucky

Jackson County is in eastern Kentucky, right in the Daniel Boone National Forest. McKee, the county seat, is so small you might drive through it without noticing.
The county’s all about outdoor recreation. It has hiking, camping, you name it. There’s a neat little community, Annville just to the south of the forest.
With a population of around 13,000, it’s a quiet, rural area. U.S. Route 421 winds through the county, giving you a chance to see its rolling hills and dense forests.
