Lincoln County is in southeast Arkansas, part of the state’s timber belt. The county is largely rural. Both agriculture and forestry are major industries.
Star City is the county seat with a population of around 2,100. It’s a quiet spot, but it still manages to host a number of local events throughout the year.
Cane Creek State Park is located just to the east of Star City. It has fishing, camping, and hiking. The Arkansas Department of Correction has several facilities in the county as well.
