Meade County, Kansas
Meade County sits in the southwestern part of Kansas, next to Oklahoma. It’s a place where the wide-open plains meet a rich frontier history.
The county seat, Meade, is small but full of character. It’s best known for the Dalton Gang Hideout, a museum that brings the Old West to life.
U.S. Highway 54 runs through the county, including through Meade. There are a couple of lakes, namely Meade State Fishing Lake, and the surrounding park. It’s quiet here, maybe too quiet for some.
