Mitchell County, Kansas

Mitchell Location Map Kansas

Mitchell County is right in the heart of north-central Kansas. It’s a place where agriculture rules and community pride is strong.

Beloit is the main town in this county. The historic St. John’s Catholic Church is a must-see in the town. But it’s mostly farmland with some rolling hills.

The Solomon River runs through it into Waconda Lake. With about 6,000 people, it’s not the biggest in terms of population. Waconda Lake (also called Glen Elder Reservoir) is a big draw for boating.
