Montezuma County, Colorado
Montezuma County is down in the southwest corner of Colorado. Cortez is the main town and county seat. Mesa Verde National Park is the big draw. It includes those ancient cliff dwellings that are mind-blowing.
The Four Corners Monument is here too in the southwest. That means you can stand in four states at once if you are into that kind of thing.
There is a lot of Ute Mountain Ute and Navajo land in the county. The population is around 27,000 with U.S. Highway 160 runs through the county.
