Morgan County, Kentucky

Morgan County is in eastern Kentucky, where the hills start to look more like mountains. West Liberty is the county seat. It’s actually rebuilt itself after a nasty tornado a few years back. Talk about resilience.
The county has some great spots for hiking and camping. Morgan County is also close to Cave Run Lake, a nearby favorite for boating and picnicking.
Kentucky Route 7 and U.S. Route 460 runs through the county. The county has ties to the early pioneer days and a strong sense of Appalachian heritage.
