Osage County, Kansas

Osage Location Map Kansas

Osage County is in east-central Kansas, with Lyndon as the county seat. It has a nice mix of prairie and wooded areas. The county’s part of the Flint Hills, so you get some rolling landscape.

Pomona Lake is a big draw for fishing and boating. But it’s also home to a second large lake, Melvern Lake. This is the tenth largest lake in the state.

There’s a bit of everything here. U.S. Highway 75 runs through. Some folks commute to Topeka for work, while others are all about farm life. With about 15,000 residents, it’s big enough to stay busy.
