Wichita County is out in western Kansas, with Leoti as the county seat. Don’t confuse it with the city of Wichita. This place is about as far from urban as you can get.
It’s high plains country and great for wheat farming. With about 2,100 people, it’s the kind of place where you can take a deep breath and relax.
The population’s small and spread out. But folks here are friendly and resilient. If you ever want to come here, U.S. Highway 96 runs through. Wichita County is known for its wide-open spaces, strong agricultural roots, and a laid-back way of life.
