Lane County, Kansas

Lane County is way out in western Kansas. Dighton is the only real town. It’s seriously rural. We’re talking wheat fields as far as the eye can see.
With a population of just over 1,500, this is one of the least populated counties in the state. Unfortunately, the population keeps shrinking.
Agriculture is the backbone here, with wheat and sorghum fields as some of the common crops here. There’s some cattle ranching too. It’s rural Kansas at its purest.
