Morris County is nestled in the Flint Hills of central Kansas. The county seat, Council Grove, has ties to the Santa Fe Trail, with historic sites around every corner.

U.S. Highway 56 makes it easy to explore this scenic area. With about 5,500 residents, it’s a small but proud community.

The Allegawaho Memorial Heritage Park is worth a visit if you’re into Native American history. Don’t forget about the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve as well. It’s located just south of Morris County.
