Pike County is the easternmost point in Kentucky, right where Virginia and West Virginia come to play. It’s actually largest in the state for land area.
The county has some serious mountains. Check out some of the great views if you don’t mind the winding roads.
Pikeville is the county seat. It hosts the Hillbilly Days Festival. It turns out being a hillbilly is something to celebrate. The county’s rugged terrain is crisscrossed by U.S. Route 23 and the Daniel Boone Parkway.
