Bingham County, Idaho
Bingham County sprawls across southeastern Idaho’s Snake River Plain. The Fort Hall Indian Reservation covers part of the county. Mountains rise up to the east for hiking and hunting.
The Snake River cuts through, providing water for the countless potato fields. Blackfoot, the county seat, proudly calls itself the “Potato Capital of the World”. They’ve even got a potato museum to prove it. You’ll see center pivot irrigation everywhere.
The Idaho National Laboratory is nearby, bringing in high-tech jobs. But agriculture still rules. The East Idaho State Fair draws huge crowds every September. Rodeos are fun here. So is high school football.
