Blaine County, Idaho

Blaine Locator Map Idaho

Blaine County is where Idaho gets glamorous. It’s home to Sun Valley, the ritzy ski resort that put Idaho on the jet-set map. Ketchum and Hailey attract celebrities and tech millionaires looking for a mountain escape.

The area is stunningly beautiful, with the Sawtooth Mountains as a backdrop. Locals joke about the “champagne powder” snow. Summers are all about hiking, mountain biking, and fly fishing. The Big Wood River runs through the heart of the county.

Hemingway spent his last years here. You’ll see his influence everywhere. Despite the wealth, there’s still a strong outdoorsy, laid-back vibe. The county is split between ultra-rich enclaves and working-class towns. Housing costs are insane. Sheep ranching used to be key but now it’s just a throwback.
