Jefferson County, Idaho

Jefferson County sits in eastern Idaho, just north of Idaho Falls. Farming is a major industry here. The Snake River Plain stretches out here, flat as a pancake. You’ll see a lot of potato fields around these parts.
Rigby, the county seat, claims to be the birthplace of television. Philo Farnsworth, TV’s inventor, grew up on a farm nearby. The Lemhi and Bitterroot mountain ranges loom in the distance.
The county is named after Thomas Jefferson, of course. People here value their independence. It’s a place where hard work and community still matter.
