Saguache County is in the San Luis Valley of south-central Colorado. It’s pretty remote and many consider it as a true Colorado treasure off the beaten path.
The town of Saguache is tiny. But this historic town is your connection to the Sangre de Cristo and San Juan Mountains.
The county has a mix of high desert and mountains. Great Sand Dunes National Park is partly in the county, where massive sand dunes rise against a backdrop of rugged peaks.
