Stanton County, Kansas

Stanton County is way out in southwest Kansas, with Johnson City as the county seat. It’s about as rural as it gets in Kansas, and sits next to Colorado.
The land is flat and mostly used for farming and ranching. U.S. Highway 160 and U.S. Highway 385 cross paths here. But there’s no hurry.
The population is just under 2,000 residents so it’s a place where peace and quiet aren’t hard to find. But the population’s small and spread out. If you’re looking to unplug, this is the place to do it.
