Valley County is in central Idaho. It’s big and mostly wilderness. Logging used to be big here. Now it’s all about tourism and recreation. The Payette River runs through here and it’s a favorite for rafting and kayaking.
Mountains surround the county with the Sawtooth Range. It’s stunning. Forests cover most of the land. Ponderosa pines everywhere. Payette Lake is crystal clear and is a great spot for swimming and boating. But Lake Cascade is the largest lake in this county.
McCall is the tourist hotspot and is known for its winter carnival. This carnival has ice sculptures and more. Cascade is the county seat. It’s a small town with a lot of charm.
